Veil of Absence
An invitation to abandon prescribed identities and rediscover expression without apology.
Here, decoration is not excess. It is remembrance. It is emotion made visible.
Veil of Absence explores the quiet disappearance of ritual, ornament, and the gestures that once defined elegance. As traditions fade, so too do the objects and behaviors that carried memory: how we dressed, how we adorned ourselves, and how we expressed reverence through appearance.
Today, formality is often mistaken for restraint. Decoration is reduced to excess, while minimalism is celebrated as sophistication. Yet throughout history, adornment has never been separate from emotion. It has always been a language of grief, celebration, devotion, love, and identity.
CITTÀCICO questions these inherited boundaries. Why must seriousness be emotionless? Why must elegance remain silent? Our creations reclaim ornament as an emotional vocabulary, allowing accessories to become an extension of feeling rather than a distraction from it. They are not made to command attention, but to belong to the body, to the garment, and to the person who wears them.
This collection is an invitation to abandon prescribed identities and rediscover expression without apology. Here, decoration is not excess. It is remembrance. It is emotion made visible. It is the freedom to exist as yourself without fear of becoming an outsider.
